Doreen founded the practice in 1991, after qualifying and establishing her career as a Chartered Accountant working in senior roles within large national and medium-sized accountancy firms. Her success lies in being a great listener, able to offer sound all-round business advice to clients without any ‘waffle’.
BSc Econ ACA – DIRECTOR
Jennifer is a Chartered Accountant, joining us in 2013 from a larger local firm. She deals with company accounts, personal tax, and specialises in audit work, special projects and report-writing. Having pursued a career in Local Government prior to Accountancy, she brings wide-ranging skills to the team as well as being Doreen’s daughter.

FCCA – Senior Client Manager
Debbie qualified as a Certified Accountant in Newport, South Wales. Since moving to Hampshire, she worked for a number of firms in the local area before joining us as Practice Manager in 1998. Her main areas of expertise lie in small and medium sized businesses, as well as specialising in personal tax.
BA FCA – Client Manager
Linda qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992, working in a larger firm in Southampton before joining us as an Accounts Senior in 2003. She is involved with accounts preparation, personal tax, preparation of VAT returns, and is our resident payroll expert.
Bookkeeping Manager
Sam joined us in December 2022 as our Bookkeeping Manager. She has over 20 years’ experience with bookkeeping, payroll, management accounts, and year-end accounts. Sam specialises in advanced bookkeeping and client training.
BSc FCCA – ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
Duncan joined us in January 2024 as an Assistant Accountant, working primarily with Debbie and Linda. A qualified Chartered Certified Accountant, he has spent over 20 years working in accountancy practices across the South Coast, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Duncan specialises in working with small businesses on accounts, VAT, bookkeeping and payroll.
Accounts Assistant
Amrit joined the D V Marlow & Co family as a regular work experience student in 2023, and we have now welcomed her permanently as an Accounts Assistant. Amrit will be undertaking an apprenticeship with us whilst studying for her BSc Accounting and Finance Manager degree with the University of Chichester. You may see her friendly face on Reception while she undertakes admin duties and bookkeeping work.
